Winding the Watch
We recommend manually winding the watch at night or when it's in a quiescent state, especially if it lacks energy.
To loosen the crown and wind your automatic watch, follow these steps:
Locate the Crown: The crown is the small knob on the side of the watch case. It is used to wind the watch.
Gently Pull Out the Crown
There are two positions: the first one is for winding the watch (the wearing position) and the second one (pulled out all the way) is for adjusting the time. To wind the watch in position 1, turn the crown clockwise.
Gently rotate the crown clockwise to power the watch, aiming for 25-30 turns. Ensure you are gentle and avoid overwinding, as it could potentially harm the mechanism. This winding action will power the mainspring of the watch. Each model varies slightly, so please check the specific model you have purchased for further details.
Feel for Resistance
As you wind, you may feel a slight resistance. Avoid forcing the crown if you encounter significant resistance, as this could indicate the watch is fully wound. Overwinding can damage the mechanism.
Push the Crown In
After winding the watch, push the crown back in gently and firmly to its original position against the case. Ensure it is pushed in all the way to maintain the watch's water resistance.
Wind with Regularity
Wind the watch regularly, preferably at the same time each day, to keep it running accurately. The power reserve on your new time piece is around 20 hours, so winding it daily or every other day is often sufficient. Wear your manual-automatic watch regularly to keep it running. If you don't wear it every day, consider using a watch winder to keep it ticking.
Wearing the Watch
Place the watch on your wrist, adjusting the strap or bracelet to fit comfortably. Avoid wearing the watch too tightly or too loosely.
Water Resistance
Our watches boast water resistance levels of 3 & 5ATM (Model Specific) allowing them to endure splashes or brief water exposure, like accidental sink drops or encounters with rain, without harm. Hot showers or saunas can compromise the water resistance due to the heat, causing the water-resistant seal to degrade. This deterioration may result in water entering the watch and potential damage to its internal mechanism. We advise against swimming, diving, showering, or bathing activities. It’s advisable to remove your watch in this instance.
To prevent corrosion from perspiration, it's advisable to clean your watch regularly. Ensure the crown is fully closed before cleaning and the leather strap is detached from the watch. Use a gentle wipe with a soft cloth moistened with soapy water, followed by another wipe using a cloth moistened with water. Finish by drying with a soft, dry cloth, and let it air dry in a well-ventilated area.
Solvents Steer clear of solvents, cleaning agents, perfumes, cosmetics, and similar substances that can harm the watch case & strap.
It's important to note that the nature of automatic timepieces may lead to occasional deviations in timekeeping, resulting in either gains or losses.
Mechanical timepieces feature a mechanism propelled by the unwinding mainspring, accompanied by intricate metal components collaborating to ensure precision. The delicate metal elements in these watches are susceptible to external factors like temperature, gravity, and shock. Additionally, usage patterns, arm movements, and the mainspring winding state can impact the timekeeping accuracy.
This is a normal characteristic of automatic watches and is not indicative of a defect. The intricate mechanics and craftsmanship behind each timepiece can be influenced by various factors, such as your daily activities, environmental conditions, and the inherent complexities of mechanical movements.
We want to assure you that these subtle variations are part of the charm of owning an automatic watch, showcasing its unique personality and the craftsmanship invested in its creation.
Common Issues Affecting Timekeeping Accuracy:
Insufficient Power Reserve:
Verify the power level of your watch, especially if it's automatic. Limited movement can lead to inadequate power reserve. Consider manual winding to supplement power, then observe for any deviations in timekeeping.
Magnetization:
It’s advisable to keep your watch away from magnetic fields, for example; mobile phones, television, speakers. A magnetized hairspring in a mechanical watch can cause it to lose or gain time.
Shocks & Bumps:
While our automatic watches are crafted for sophistication and durability, it's advisable to remove your timepiece during strenuous sporting activities. Strong shocks or impacts during activities may compromise the delicate mechanics inside your watch, affecting its precision and performance.
Dropping your watch, even from a short distance, can cause internal components to come loose. To safeguard the intricate mechanics of your timepiece, we recommend taking it off before engaging in activities where it may be subjected to strong shocks or accidental drops.
Temperature Consideration:
Our automatic watches are designed to endure a wide range of temperatures, but extreme conditions can impact their performance. Avoid exposing your timepiece to excessively low or high temperatures, as this may affect its accuracy and longevity.
Extreme heat can cause lubricants to break down and affect the watch's movement, while extreme cold may slow down the mechanism. When not in use, store your watch in a moderate environment to ensure its optimal functioning.
Maintenance Requirements:
Timekeeping issues may arise due to insufficient lubrication or wear in internal components. For consistent accuracy, regular maintenance at an authorised service center is recommended.
In order to prevent potential damage to the crown we encourage customers to wind the time piece off the wrist. It’s advisable to do this over a soft surface to prevent accidental damage.
You should wind the time piece periodically to keep the mechanics running smoothly. This is especially important in colder weather.
Always place the face of the watch on a flat smooth surface when changing the watch strap to prevent any damage to the face & casing.
Certain watches in our collection feature steel bands with detachable links for optimal wrist fit. We advise visiting a nearby jeweller or watch repair specialist for professional assistance in link removal, typically for a nominal fee.
Alternatively, if you possess the appropriate tools, you can undertake link removal independently. Numerous instructional videos on platforms like YouTube <Video> offer detailed guidance for this process. It's advisable to utilize high-quality tools, as cheaper alternatives may prove inadequate. Incorrect removal may result in damage to the strap.
We are not affiliated with any links provided in the instructional videos on platforms such as YouTube. We always recommend taking your watch to a qualified professional.
All of our watches require clockwise winding. Each model varies on the amount of turns required to fully wind the watch. Our watches must be hand wound, do not use a tool or any foreign objects.
